Nanuet High School Home Spectator Guidelines

We are so excited that Fall-1 games begin Saturday!

Spectators, please read the information below from our AD, Phil Carbone...

The Nanuet Athletic Department will be using the approved protocols for all Home Games during the Fall I Season.  The Section One Committee accepted and approved the Athletic Council’s recommendation to adopt a set of spectator protocols for all member schools in Fall Season I.  Beginning October 10th, only home spectators will be permitted to attend interscholastic athletic events in Section One throughout the regular season.  In accordance with the NYSDOH Sport & Recreation guidance and the NYSPHSAA Return to Interscholastic Athletics document:

● As per the Executive Committee, two spectators per home athlete will be permitted.

There will be a roster check list at each site.

Please make arrangements ahead of time for younger siblings.

● Spectators must follow all DOH guidelines regarding face coverings and social distancing.

School districts may elect to be more restrictive.

● Schools are encouraged to offer optional health screenings for spectators.

We are asking that all spectators use the link for attestation which may be checked upon arrival.

The site is https://entry.neric.org/NanuetUFSD.

● Districts may encourage spectators to provide contact information for tracing purposes.

If deemed necessary, school districts may choose to be more restrictive and place additional limitations on the number of spectators at their athletic events. In addition, the host district has the ability to restrict any spectator from being in attendance who does not comply with the guidelines set forth by the NYSDOH, NYSPHSAA, the local health department and/or host district.  Please be aware that all policies and procedures are subject to change as needed.  In addition, we are working to create live feed options for our families who may not be able to attend home games and will not be able to attend away contests that we hope to have in place prior to competitions

What is the Black and Gold Club?

The Black and Gold Club was originally founded in the spring of 1965. It was organized by a group of interested parents and citizens of Nanuet with the intention of supporting the school, the student athletes and the community.

This mission continues today and the club is always looking for new ideas and people who are willing to help. Meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month and everyone is welcome to attend.
